Rowing
Facilities

Rowing sessions will take place on our private lake, Camps Millpond.
It was originally dammed to provide water for the mill, hence the
name, but is much larger than your typical millpond. It is approximately
80 acres, with one stretch running 1,500 meters and another 1,000
meters. The lake is widest at the launching area, providing
an easy place for beginners to get comfortable.
Meanwhile, the more experienced rowers can take off down the longer
stretches. There are no houses on the lake, just trees, offering
protection and seclusion. As owners of the lake, we can assure
that there will be no motorboats on the water. Our groups will
be small, with no more than 12 participants, helping to maintain idyllic
sculling conditions.
We have a variety of shells, from flat-bottomed recreational
and beginner boats to sleek racing shells. You’ll also
have an opportunity to try out boats from several different manufacturers
in case you’re considering buying your own. |
